The lumber is superior to anything you can get from a chain store. They pull your order quickly. I gave 5 stars, but have one complaint that didn't affect my rating. I wish they gave orange/red flags to put on the lumber sticking out of the bed of your truck or trailer.

Could have been 5 stars......Everything went well with the building of our barn, except that they let the wood sit in the mud and then when it came to using it they didn't wash it off, they just nailed it up like nothing was on it. They could have washed it off--now we have red mud on various pieces of wood all around the inside of the barn. Ugggg.

I was assured that they had all the licensing they needed to build in the city of Cullman. During the final inspection, we find out that they do not have what is required by the city .This required me to hire a third party at an additional expense. In my experience, I felt like summertown Withheld. Information from me To make a sale.

Awesome selection and great prices. These guys are friendly and easy to work with. They have a large yard, so it can take a while to get materials, but I am swapping to getting all my lumber almost exclusively from Summertown!

Very happy with the work and product from Summertown. I purchased a 30x50 and they did a great job. Some of my measurements to windows, had to be exact (for spacing for future cabinets). Summertown crew nailed the dimensions, and installing all the other windows and doors. Thanks, Wilson

Terrible customer service from the start! There management and employees needs to learn to communicate with the customer! Contractors through them are great tho. Let this company be a last resort on building a shop, pole barn,etc… for you!

Allen - one of the yard guys, is super helpful and upbeat. So refreshing. I did not realize the lumber they have here. It is at the same or in many cases BETTER price than Lowe's. You don't have to load a buggy and stand in line, just call in the order and they put it on your truck for you. I'll never have to go to Lowe's for lumber again. Super thankful my dad told me about this place. They sell a lot of building supplies, so wouldn't hurt to ask about more than lumber I'm sure.

I purchased a 24x60x16 shed and it looks great. Summertown Metals had a great price, quality materials, and customer service that assists you through the entire building process. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
