After doing a lot of research we chose Midsouth to build our Barndominium. We are just getting started but so far they have been excellent to work with. More to come.A few months later for earthwork and winter weather, the Barndominium shell was dried-in in 20 days including the concrete work. The framing and metal work look very good and the worksite is clean. Excellent communication from our project lead Chad.
Overall, wasn’t terrible. Shell was done in 3 months from the time we broke ground. Found issues from their contractors throughout the build that were addressed. They also didn’t provide a porta potty for the job site so the contractors would poop in the woods and leave toilet paper. The job site was a constant mess and they were going to leave all of the construction scraps/trash until I said something about it. The communication was terrible. (But that could’ve just been the project manager) The only thing the project manager did was order materials. Never was on the job site. Their multiple inspections consist of the project manager and owner inspecting the work which is pointless. GET YOUR OWN INSPECTIONS! Had some issues arise once they were done and it has been like pulling teeth to get them to honor their 1yr warranty. Once they’re done with your build, they forget about you. Ended up calling Summertown Metals to fix the mistakes and will be using Summertown Metals for the next build.
