They were easy to communicate with. Several conversation took place before the job got started. Very professional with the pole barn job (30 × 40 × 12) that was completed. As with any pole barn job the original leveled site is "roughed up" so to speak when they bring in the equipment to put in the poles, they left the site leveled off.Due to the lay of the land and best placement for the building some changes for door placement needed to occur. They were flexible and communicated what would be structurally best There was 1 error made during window framing (we had different windows than what they normally install) and was caught before finishing framing construction. A remedy was IMMEDIATELY made to MY benefit with NO additional expense or down time. The site was cleaned up each day at "quitting time". When they were completely finished the site was immediately useable. Super impressed with this group of builders.

We like the window sizes and the wide window sills in all the rooms. The double doors in the front of the house are a nice addition. The fireplace is beautiful and it's vented up through the roof like we wanted. The bathroom showers are nice. The master bath has an upgraded walk in shower and the guest bath has a nice glass door. The cabinets and drawers are all soft close like we had requested. The carpet in the bedrooms is nice and we are happy with the linoleum flooring. The house has alot of light and an open floor plan for the living room, kitchen and dining room. We are happy with the lighting styles.

Horst custom homes replaced my roof and did a great job on a difficult roof… they were diligent on how they worked and they were very neat, considering that the roof was a tear off.The crew was very polite and professional.Johnny, the owner, was easy to work with as we had to make a slight change, midway through the project.Bottom line I would definitely recommend Horst for any home improvement projects.

Johnny was easy to talk to and willing to help when issues arose.However, while they may have a great crew to do their custom homes, the crew they use for house projects is less than ideal. This crew is composed of men that do not speak English and do not have the experience to build stairs.The men were throwing items at each other causing damage to my ring cam and left messes on day one. I had to call Johnny to come clean up their messes as they left nails and scraps all over the ground in front of my front door. Having 2 children and 4 dogs, this was not safe. They also left a window wide open for the night and there was a nasty storm coming along with their food scraps all over my front yard. Johnny did come take care of it and bought me a new ring cam, which I truly appreciated.Although the siding was cheap siding and not good quality, they did well installing it.The stairs were a disaster. The crew had no idea how to build them and a stop work order was placed on them by the codes officer. This caused a lot of headaches and made the project even longer. The crew simply wants to get the job done and does not focus on craftsmanship. Thankfully, the codes officer helped ensure that our stairs were installed properly and safe for use.Johnny supported us and completely remade the stairs and did what was asked of him.Despite Johnny fixing all of the issues and adding some benefits for us, it was a huge headache that I wish could've been avoided.I asked for a new crew but there was not one. Unfortunately, this is his only crew to do these jobs and they are definitely not the best around.Johnny contracted out our doors and windows with Westview Doors and Windows and they did a great job! I would definitely recommend them.Johnny is a great guy but his crew did not meet our expectations.

Johnny and Jacob were consistent, accountable, and reliable through every step of our home design and building process. They maintained a quality standard for themselves and their team and delivered as promised and on budget. We are extremely satisfied with their work and would recommend them to anyone looking to build a modular home in the area.
